SAPA 09/06/10

We arrive saddle sore, muddied and a little wind burnt to the 1920s French hill station of Sapa - at 1700m, its humidity free and nestled on a mountain bend, overlooked by Vietnams highest mountain - Fansipan, with terraced rice paddies below. Its mid week so the tourist head count is low - they fill the place up at the weekend - we will be out of here by then, but not before we have enjoyed some good coffee, some pizza, and the comfort of sleeping under a blanket. I LOVE hill stations.
