JOY BANGLA! THANK YOU

This is our last post on Bangladesh, and I hope they have slightly helped redress the balance on this country once described as 'a basket case' (by a basket case as it turned out).

TOP 5 ( in no particular order)
Joe Public
The Sunderbans
The Rocket
Srimangal Tea estates
Abdul & Old Dhaka

We apologise for the lack of pix, these will be added later, when we are happy that the cafes we are using to update these blogs, are not riddled with viruses!

Happy New Year to you two intrepid travellers. Keep those tales coming.

Apologies for not posting sooner guys, I cleverly filed the link to your blog in my "to read" folder and its taken me 4 mos to locate it. So a belated happy birthday, merry christmas and all the best for the new year!

So wonderful to revisit Annapurna with you (although of course we only managed the relatively lame sanctuary trek). I can almost taste the instant ramen with bitter greens now . . . . Bangladesh sounds intense but amazing, although its easy to discount heat stroke and mosquitos when it's 4 degrees windchill and you have to chop up the icy walk out front.

Wish we could meet you on Koh wherever you are to celebrate the new year! maybe we can catch you on your next travel break -- Julian loves street food and rickshaws.

Lots of love,

Dale

ps. if you believe what you read on the internet Cox's Bazar is indeed the longest beach in the world!

Do Radio 4 still read out those terrifyingly somber announcements requesting that a named person get in touch as soon as possible as a close relative is seriously ill, last seen in Bangladesh, believed to be now traveling in Thailand. it may be worth a go as the lack of communication from our two intrepid heroes is worrying me.

I knew they should never have gone, all that funny food...
